FROM DATABASE TO DIAGRAM

Start with what you already have.

No new tools inside your database. Just your SQL client and a schema JSON file.

01

Bring your schema

Run the metadata query in your database and paste the JSON result.

02

Explore and refine

Arrange tables, inspect columns and relationships, and document your intent.

03

Keep the work moving

Save to your workspace when you choose, or take your work with you as JSON or PNG.

MADE FOR THE WAY YOU THINK

Connect the tables. Understand the story.

PROJECT HANDOVERS · EXPLORATION

Find your way around any project.

Follow tables and relationships to understand an existing system. Search by name and focus on the parts that matter.

DATA MODELING · DESIGN REVIEWS

Give your next feature a foundation.

Create tables and columns, edit composite keys, and connect foreign keys. Turn your idea into a structure you can review.

DOCUMENTATION · ONBOARDING

Keep the meaning, not just the names.

Add display names and descriptions to capture your intent. Keep a JSON backup, export a diagram, or review supported SQL definitions.

Clear about where data lives
YOUR SCHEMA. YOUR CHOICE.

Bring the structure. Choose where it stays.

No database passwords. No data records. Editing starts in your browser; your schema and descriptions are sent when you choose cloud save.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you dive in.

Currently in early access
Do I need to share database credentials?

No. Run the provided metadata query in your own SQL tool and import the JSON result. Schema Studio does not connect to your source database or collect its records.

Where is my schema stored?

Edits are saved automatically in your browser. Choosing cloud save sends your schema, descriptions and layout to your workspace. Downloaded local copies remain after sign-out.

Which databases and formats are supported?

Currently, you can import PostgreSQL metadata query results and Schema Studio JSON, up to 100 tables and 2MiB per document. SQL DDL text import and other databases are not supported yet.

Can I try it before signing up?

Yes. Explore and edit tables and relationships in the demo. Sign in to access your workspace and cloud storage.

What about team collaboration and pricing?

Schema Studio is in early access. Team invitations, real-time collaboration and paid subscriptions are not available yet. Plan details will be published when they are ready.
